BCS Bowls Predictions

BCS National Championship

#1 Alabama vs #2 Florida State

Can FSU stop the dynasty that is Alabama?

In my eyes, these are the two best teams in college football. Not only do they have great QBs, but they have great coaches and are the most complete teams in college football. This will be a great game, not only on the field, but also seeing the chess moves both of these coaches will provide.

BCS Fiesta Bowl

The Unstoppable O vs. The Underdog

#4 Baylor vs #18 UCF

Now, many will look at this game and say Baylor is going to run UCF out of the stadium, which is possible. However, UCF has a good chance in this game with their solid run game led by Storm Johnson. They could pound the ball and keep that high powered Baylor offense on the sidelines. If they choose to shoot it out with Baylor or if Baylor’s defense is stout against the run, then this could become a long night for UCF. I’m intrigued to see what happens if these two teams play.

BCS Rose Bowl

Can the Ducks beat the Streak?

#3 Ohio State vs #5 Oregon

As many of us know, Ohio State has been rolling since Urban Meyer has taken over the helm there. In fact, they haven’t lost a game since he arrived. No disrespect to the Big Ten, but there isn’t a team in that division that can beat them right now. However, outside of it there are a few and I believe that Oregon is one of them. With the combination of speed and quickness they bring, I think they will stop the streak.

BCS Sugar Bowl

SEC vs who???

#6 Auburn vs #15 Fresno State

Fresno State, yes I said FRESNO STATE (Dont sleep on the Bulldogs). They are undefeated and have had a great season, but I’m going keep this short and sweet. I don’t think this is a good match-up for them. I believe Auburn fast paced hurry up offense would just be too much for Fresno State’s defense. This would most likely end in a blowout.

BCS Orange Bowl

Modern Offense vs Old School Defense

#7 Clemson vs #13 Michigan State

This match-up will be great and I hope we get to see it. Why? Well, we have what has seemed to become the norm with Clemson’s offense because they are a no huddle offense that can light up the scoreboard. On the other side, we have an old school smash mouth football team in Michigan State. Michigan State is one of the best, if not the best, defenses in college football. While I do think they have a great defense, I just think the combination of Clemson’s Tajh Boyd and Sammy Watkins would prove to be too much and Clemson would pull it out in the end.
